Bonsoir,

Again, my 16 GB v210w went write protected.

Same problem as for lisbon_lion67 and soma8914.

The problem appeared after I formatted it FAT32 on my Mac.

I tried to format it on XP with many USB drive utilities, but always sector is said to be =0 and an error is raised.

Is this flash drive Mac compatible?

How to change it? My dealer made one change but its policy doesn't allow a 2nd change.

Best regards,

Hi!

After one week of usage, my new USB Flash Drive v210w 16 GB appears as Write Protected.

Impossible to add a new file, delete an old file, even format the whole USB Flash Drive.

Steven Quale did wonders with the use of 3D as well. Words can't describe how amazing it was. Should it be seen in 3D? Anyways, while I loved this movie and everything about it, it did have a few things about it that underwhelmed me. Final destination 5 123 movies The film was shot in 3D and Quale knew when to emphasize the use of it without shoving it in our faces (except for the extra long title sequence, and credits).

I tried various procedures described on forums, as

  • My ComputerHKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESYSTEMCurrentControlSetControlStorageDevicePoliciesWriteProtect > Value Data set to 0
  • deviseharddisk1dr2

and normal formatting (Properties > Format) and low level formatting tools, as

  • HP USB disk storage format tool SP27608-2.1.8.exe

but in vain.
What happened? How to resume using my USB Flash Drive normally?

I'm running a mini 311c on XP SP3.

Thank you for your help and best regards.

I contacted hp support and got as an answer the name of a recovery utility Ufix.rar.
Unfortunately, this utility doesn't recognize the v210w.
hp-branded flash USB cards are manufactured by PNY.
Actually, the latest release is Ufix2v3.
It worked and restored my USB card.
Windows and Mac OS format utilities seem not to handle correctly the USB flash card correctly.
Mac OS says there's a 16 GB drive mounted on an USB support. I can unmount the volume without eject the USB connection.
hp: Please mention this solution on the FAQ!

Best regards,
